Aaron jumped on this opportunity and created a mobile success. In normal days, Aaron Ardiri is the CTO of appear networks in Kista; but in his free time he has hobbies collecting many nostalgic technical items. He has converted the old game and watch games to the iphone. "when the iphone was released; it was a perfect platform with touch screen and acceerometer" he says. Just a month after releasing his first game "Chef" on the app store; it has definitely been a success. The largest purchase group is Japan, with over 80 percent of the sales. in one day; where selling was at its peak Aaron Ardiri made 10,000 sek. In his collection; Aaron Ardiri has 50 games; and his favourite was "Donkey Kong". It is one of the games he cannot create an iPhone version for due to copyright. "Donkey Kong" and "Super Mario" are protected character trademarks. The remainder game and what games are just simple characters and there is no trademark/copyright on them in the same manner. The conversion process has two stages. First; the graphics must be created and Aaron Ardiri photographs the game and watch game and then fixes the graphics on his computer. This is the most time consuming process. The lighting and angle when you photograph must be perfect; a small error and it cannot be used. Afterwards; the game logic is quite simple to copy. The games are relatively simple state machines. In some cases; the iPhone version has been improved. "in Chef, you can typically move to a position where there is no food; this has no purpose; so it is removed from the iphone version" he says. It is possible to make money and survive on; but exactly how much Aaron Ardiri brings in he wont disclose and he doesn't intend to leave his day job. -- image Aaron Ardiri originally from australia but moved to sweden 10 years ago; now his game idea is a success.
